Gigastone warrants to the original end user customer, that the products, excluding content and/or software supplied with or on the product, will be free from material defects for the period defined in the following table:
Media Streamer: 1 year
Battery Back-up: 1 year
USB Flash Drives: 5 years
Flash based memory cards (ex: SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, microSDHC, CompactFlash, MemoryStick, etc ): 10 years
Flash based memory card readers and Adapters: 2 years
Hard Disk Drives (HDD): 2 years
And will conform to published product specifications and be fit for normal use during the Warranty Period commencing on the date of purchase. Repaired or replacement parts will be provided by Gigastone on an exchange basis, and will be either new or recertified.
To make a warranty claim on a product you may return the defective product to the original retailer from which the product was purchased. They should be able, using their own return policy, assist in a replacement or refund of the product. If the Retailer is unable to assist the original end user customer with a replacement please visit our support website at support.dane-memory.com within the Warranty Period and provide proof of purchase (showing date of purchase and name of the reseller) and product name, type and model number.
All product returns require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. All returned items must be received by Gigastone within 30 days of the approved RMA date. Gigastone will review your request for authorization and issue an RMA number upon approval of request. Please note that your request will be subject to approval.
The guarantee is valid only when these products are used with appropriate equipment that is in conformity with the standards in force. This guarantee is reserved only for the person who acquired the products, and following presentation of proof of purchase. This guarantee is null and void if the products are not used in a normal way, if original identification information has been altered, changed or removed, or if Gigastone determines that negligence, abnormal use, incorrect installation, a repair, a change or an accident causes the defect. Gigastone declines all responsibility in cases of failure or defects caused by any third-party product or component.
All items returned under warranty will be processed per the manufacturers return policy. The customer is responsible for the cost of insuring and shipping the product back to the Gigastone facility in Irvine, California, USA. Products shipped to Gigastone must be properly packaged to prevent damage during transit. The RMA number provided must be clearly and prominently displayed on the outside of the package. If the package is received without the RMA number visible on the outside of the package, it may be refused. Items accepted for warranty replacement will be shipped back to the customer via ground service at Gigastone's expense. Any upgrade in shipping will be at the customers expense.
All defective items will be repaired or replaced or credited per the manufacturers warranty policy.
All non-defective items are accepted at Gigastone's discretion and must be in original, unopened packaging.
All items with customer-induced damage are not returnable.
All returned items must include all of the original packaging material, including any electrostatic discharge packaging. If the original packaging materials are not available, the customer must provide appropriate packaging to eliminate any damage during shipping. All items must include all accessories unless prior approval from Gigastone has been given. All items authorized for return must be shipped to Gigastone at the customers expense via traceable and insured methods. All items returned must include the RMA number clearly marked on the shipping label.
If you receive a product with visible damage to the packaging, Gigastone recommends that you refuse delivery. The carrier will then be responsible for returning the package to the shipper. If you accept delivery of damaged packages or discover internal damage upon opening the package, you should contact the carrier and Technical Support at support.dane-memory.com within five (5) business days.
Refund & Replacement Information
Upon arrival at the Gigastone warehouse all returned items are inspected. Your refund or replacement will be processed after we receive, inspect, and verify your return. We will process your refund or replacement within ten (10) Business Days of delivery to our return center. Please check return tracking to know the date we received your item. Your refund may take one to two additional days to post to your original method of payment. We will attempt to notify you via email with the details of your refund or replacement order as soon as it has been fully processed.
The risk of loss for the product being returned shall be with you at all times during the shipment of such product to the returns center and with respect to any shipments from the returns center back to you, the original distributor or manufacturer, or any buyer through the liquidation process. Title to the product being returned will remain with you at all times and transfer from you to the original distributor, or a third party in the case of a liquidation of the return, only upon receipt of the products by such distributors or buyers.
If items need to be returned due to an error on Gigastone's part, Gigastone will pay one-way shipping charges for the specified items. Please note that certain items (e.g., software) are not returnable per manufacturers policies. Other terms and conditions may apply. Gigastone may refund, repair or replace an item out of good faith.
GIGASTONE WILL IN NO WAY BE HELD RESPONSIBLE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AT ALL, FOR INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR ACCESSORY DAMAGES, OR FOR THE LOSS OF DATA. GIGASTONE WILL IN NO WAY BE HELD LIABLE FOR ANY COSTS THAT THE END USER INCURS IF INDEPENDENTLY IDENTIFYING THE SOURCE OF SYSTEM PROBLEMS, REMOVING, OR SERVICING THE PRODUCT
